What are Iron pellet fines?

What are Iron pellet fines? This process produces iron ore filter cake that must be pelleted for use in the steelmaking process. In addition, the fine particles produced during the processing of high grade iron ores that do not need to be enriched can be used instead of pelletizing. Iron Ore Pellets consist of enriched or processed mineral iron powders. Iron is usually ground to a very fine level and mixed with limestone or dolomite as the fluxing agent and bentonite or organic binders as the binder. If the ore is a Hematite ore, coke or anthracite coal can be added to the mix to work as an internal fuel to aid in firing the pellets.

This mixture is mixed together in a mixer and fed to ball discs or drums to produce green pellets, typically about 9-16mm in size. The green pellets are then fed into the induction machine. The pellets are then cooled to a suitable temperature for transport to a loading facility. Both processes recycle heat from the pellet throughout the process to aid energy efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

Both processes can be used to produce almost any type of desired pellet chemistry, from direct reduction pellets (DR pellets) to blast furnace pellets. By adjusting the amount of flux or limestone added, ubiquitous pellets from acid (or non-melted) pellets to heavily melted pellets can be made. The green pellets are then moved into the solidification process. Large or small pellets and any fine material generated during the balling or conveying process are sifted just before entering the induction machine and returned to the mixer or ball area. The size of the pellets is then fed into the induction machine.

Both flat grates and in a drying section, then heat the pellets to a then complete the induction The pellets are then cooled to a suitable temperature for transport to a loading facility. Both processes recycle heat from the pellet throughout the process to aid energy efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. For more information on Iron pellet fines cost visit our site.
