Granulated iron ore is produced in four stages: primary crushing, preprocessing, secondary crushing and finishing.
- Primary crushing: at this stage the stones are crushed with a jaw crusher. The recommended capacity for jaw crushers is 500 tons per hour. In this production phase, lumps with dimensions of 40 to 60 mm enter the jaw crusher and are crushed to dimensions of 150 to 100 mm. The initial chopping takes place in an open pipe.
- preprocessing: mixing lumps of residues with lumps of magnetite iron ore, which leads to an increase in cost in the next stage, that is, secondary crushing; For this reason, at this stage, the product produced in the initial crushing with the aid of a magnetic drum belt or a magnetic stripe separator leads to the removal of iron ore waste.
- Secondary crushing: at this stage the pre-processed grains are reduced to smaller sizes with the help of cone crushers, so that the quality of the product can be increased by increasing the degree of freedom. Effective factors in the size of the secondary comminution product include the quality of iron ore and the degree of magnetite mineral involvement in residues. The secondary grinding is usually done in a closed path.
