Also Germany with import of 40 million and 930 thousand tons, Netherlands with import of 31 million and 883 thousand tons, Taiwan with import of 21 million and 773 thousand tons, France with import of 15 million and 285 thousand tons, Britain with import of 14 million and 137 thousand tons , Turkey with 8 million 114 thousand tons and the Philippines with 6 million 891 thousand tons were ranked fourth to tenth largest importers of iron ore in the world in 2013.
Total global iron ore imports in 2013 amounted to 1 billion 276 million 152 thousand tons, which compared to 2012 grew by 5.7 percent.
