1- Iron ore pellets
Iron ore pellets are obtained during the pelletizing process from iron ore concentrate. Iron pellets are 6 to 25 mm porous pellets that often have a purity range of 64 to 66 percent. The reason for pelletizing iron ore concentrate is the powder form and fine granulation of the concentrate, which makes it possible to use it directly in the furnace due to problems that may affect the efficiency and performance of the furnace. Iron ore pellets are used in two ways. Direct use for melting in blast furnace and use in regeneration unit for sponge iron production.
2- Iron pellet fines
Iron pellet fines is a by-product and in fact waste of pelletizing unit, which due to the development of its use in various sectors of industry, is sold at auction by pelletizing units.
